Mum (Kimet) and she said that her grandfather Murtaza (Bukana's dad) was a barber and lost both his legs to gangrene. He lived like that in Kanatlar for 21 years and ran a barber shop. I asked mum how he uses to cut people's hair, and she said he sat down (doh!). He then had a very bad stroke and lasted another 7 years. He couldn't use both his hands. Bukana's brother looked after him and he only got one meal a day (and mum said that was because they didn't want him to go to the toilet too much!). So he didn't get fed much, maybe only one egg a day? Not sure if that was true but you never know, they were pretty poor.
